At DGIM 2014, Prof. Dr. Werdan, former managing director of the Center for Internal Medicine at the University Clinic of Halle, explained the difference between macrocirculation, which has been researched, and relatively unknown microcirculation: An adequate functioning of organs requires a sufficient blood supply to them. A prerequisite for this is a functioning system of the macrocirculation and microcirculation. The effect of bad blood circulation through vessels with a diameter ranging from 0.1 to 0.001 mm have been neglected to date. |
